Li Changshou always thought that “a person living up to their name” was a lovely blessing, until he found an old-fashioned light bulb smeared with chewing gum in an underground parking garage.
A useless genie calling himself “Aladdin Ding” popped out of it and granted him three wishes by force: his phone got approved for a credit line, his house was sold to cover the interest, and finally, he had to pay off the rest with one of his kidneys.
After all three wishes were used up, Li Changshou discovered that he was buried in online loan debt, had lost his house, and was down a kidney.
The solution Genie Ding offered was to go treasure hunting with him.
To find the treasure, Li Changshou was forced to eat a bowl of “underworld spicy hot pot.” He never found the treasure, but he did awaken Yin-Yang Eyes and a constitution plagued by misfortune, and a bizarre countdown appeared in his mind: the supernatural would descend in 99 days.
From then on, wherever he went, the supernatural followed.
While everyone else struggled to survive the apocalypse, he could only grit his teeth and go tear apart the supernatural’s lair, accompanied by a broke genie in a greasy leather jacket who kept saying, “I’m rather sensitive, you know.”
