Thanks for Asking, I Just Became the Heavenly Dao, and Began Enlightenment with Journey to the West

Overworked office drone Lin Yuan gets hit by a meteor after working late. When he wakes up, he finds that he is the Heavenly Dao. In the age of declining spiritual energy, the world is on the verge of destruction, and the Heavenly Dao has chosen a savior. The Heavenly Dao: “We’re bound together. If you don’t get stronger, the world is doomed, and so are you.” Lin Yuan: “??? What kind of bad karma did I rack up in my past life?” Before he can finish cursing, he’s already been thrown into Journey to the West. There, he studies under Patriarch Bodhi and cultivates alongside Sun Wukong. Others endure a thousand years of hardship for a single moment of enlightenment. He hears a few lines of scripture and enters meditation on the spot. While the other disciples are still trying to grasp the teachings, he has already broken through several realms. But this is only the beginning. One world after another awaits him. Heavenly immortals and Buddhas, primordial gods and demons, and mighty beings from across the Myriad Worlds will all be his opponents, and his whetstones. He will fight his way through the Myriad Worlds and bring spiritual energy back to the age of decline. He will make the world behind him thrive once more. Let the spiritual qi revival begin! The age of cultivation for all! Every living being helps him cultivate, so he can get stronger even while lying around. Yesterday’s hard work is for enjoying today, and today’s enjoyment is for unlocking an even bigger cheat tomorrow. The age of cultivation for all: Lin Yuan, the mastermind behind it all. The Heavenly Dao: “Could the person I chose possibly be anything but exceptional?”
