Green Tea Nanny: Don't Take It Too Far

[Everyone in the capital knows that Cheng Yanchi’s new housekeeper is a scheming green tea, but no one knows how many times her face has been cut open, or how many lives in the Cheng family she carries in her heart.]

The most expensive housekeeper in the capital is called Su Jinnian.

Three months ago, she was the mad wife the Cheng family had thrown into a psychiatric hospital. Three years ago, she was the youngest leading star in the opera world. Before that, she was the true daughter of a top-tier wealthy family, lost from home, supplanted by an impostor, disfigured, and burned alive in a fire, erased from everyone’s memory.

Now she has returned wearing someone else’s face, hired as a live-in housekeeper for her ex-husband, Cheng Yanchi.

By day, she wears an apron, brews soup and tea, and turns the Cheng household upside down with her green tea tricks. By night, she steps onto the footrest of Cheng Yanchi’s wheelchair, runs her fingertips over his Adam’s apple, and whispers in his ear in the voice she once used to sing “The Drunken Concubine”: “Mr. Cheng, have you fallen for me?”

She has an all-yin constitution, making her a natural “medicinal guide” in the eyes of wealthy families. For three generations, the Cheng family has been searching for a woman like her, though she never knew it, not even when she died.

This time, she has come to them of her own accord.

Cheng Yanchi grips her right ring finger, the one he once broke with his own hands. It is still trembling. His eyes lowered, he speaks without a trace of emotion. “This finger of yours reminds me of someone: someone who died three years ago.”

Su Jinnian does not know that he has pretended to be paralyzed for three years to uncover the truth about his mother’s blood being drained.

Nor does she know that, when he signed the papers to send her to the psychiatric hospital, he did so to save her life from his family...
