The first rule of late-night funeral parlors: Never look back when the deceased calls your name.
On Yun Zhiqiu's first night on the job, three deceased people called her name at the same time. The whole funeral parlor went silent for an instant, the surveillance screen went black, and most of the night watchmen went crazy. Everyone waited to see her body slide out of the freezer at dawn.
No one knew that she was born with the ability to hear the last words of the deceased.
"Rules are written for living people," she walked out of the morgue, playing with the strange note left by the dead in her hand. "Now, it's time to let the thing that makes the rules learn to be afraid."
From tonight onwards, all weird stories will have to learn to behave themselves again.
