Lin Fei transmigrates to a Beijing courtyard compound in 1952 and binds to the "Advice Is a Blessing" System.
As long as he takes other people's advice, he gets rewards.
And so the whole courtyard's way of life goes completely off the rails.
Years later, in an interview with reporters, the courtyard's residents weep bitterly:
Yan Bugui sobs uncontrollably: "I just wanted to trick him into going ice fishing so he'd freeze to death. Who knew he'd haul in a hundred-jin fish with one cast, then sell it for a month's worth of my wages!"
Liu Haizhong slaps himself: "I tricked him into spending everything he had on a worthless fake antique, but it turned out to have an imperial-green jadeite treasure worth a fortune hidden inside!"
Yi Zhonghai, slumped in his wheelchair, cries out in despair: "I just wanted him to go rescue someone in the snow and catch a bad chill. Who knew he'd save a leader's grandson and end up with a powerful backer I couldn't afford to offend!"
The worst off is Jia Dongxu. Looking at Lin Fei's beautiful wife in his house, holding a chubby baby boy, he spits blood in fury: "Xu Damao! Why on earth did you tell him to steal Qin Huairu from me?! Damn your ancestors!"
Looking at the "good neighbors" all around the courtyard, bringing him houses, money, and wives, Lin Fei smiles like an honest man.
"I really owe my good life to all the advice you've given me."
At those words, the whole pack of scoundrels spits blood in unison.
It's quite good. If you're out of books, you can take a look.
