Alan transmigrates wanting only to lie flat: make money as a mage, build a harem, and enjoy a cozy life with his wife and kids.
But after he casually says, “Heaven is watching everything we do,” his followers all look up in awe. “Oh my god! He’s communicating with the divine!”
Alan sighs. “People may act in secret, but Heaven sees all.”
The people weep. “The gods are watching us through his eyes. He must be the Son of God!”
And just like that, his lazy life falls apart. Mage? Bishop? Pope? God of Light?! Lord of Light?!
“Please, no! Can you stop reading so much into everything? I just want to buy soft bread and cuddle a princess for a nap!”
Many years later, Alan defeats the Great Demon King and says it was all thanks to everyone else.
His followers kneel in fervent worship. “Look! Our god is being humble again!”
Alan, Lord of Light, plants a foot on the Seven Demon Gods and pulls a face of despair. “Wasn’t my dream to live a lazy life... How did I end up becoming a god?!”
