Husband, I Can See

I was blind for sixteen years.

On the first day I could see again, my older brother promised me to a monster. The monster had the voices of everyone in the village hidden in its mouth.

I pretended to be blind, sharpened a knife, and ran for three and a half years...

It wasn't until my monstrous husband appeared again that I realized the real monster was the brother who raised me.

My name is Fang Wuxue. My brother gave me that name. He said snow was pure, that it carried nothing when it fell, yet covered everything after it landed...

But what happens when the snow melts?

A pretend-blind girl ✖ a lovesick monster. First-person narration.
