The Bright Moon of Yong

The Six Kingdoms have been pacified, and Great Yong has unified the realm.

The nine sacred texts of antiquity lie shattered. The Confucians, Mohists, Daoists, Legalists, Diplomats, and countless other schools each hold fragments, their ideals at odds. Undercurrents surge through both the martial world and the imperial court, and conflict has never ceased.

A boy from the streets was taken in as a child by a reclusive swordsman. In more than a decade, he learned only to recognize the warmth and coldness of human hearts. He never studied any martial arts meant for killing.

One rainy night, the swordsman who raised him quietly disappeared, leaving behind only an unnamed weapon and an inscrutable saying.

To find his adoptive father's trail, the boy becomes a disciple of the Diplomats and travels the land with his sword.

Mohist mechanisms, yin-yang astrology, a secretive assassin organization, a network of information pavilions spanning the realm, and the forces of the previous dynasty's survivors all come into view.

The imperial palace conceals the secret of his origins. The two schools of the Ghost Valley uphold wholly different philosophies of life. Every martial artist carries their own obsession, and when blades clash, it is not merely a contest of techniques, but a fierce collision of the Hundred Schools of Thought.

As he journeys through a turbulent age, the boy seeks a path that favors neither side, using his own heart as a measure as he observes the myriad ways of the world.
