The Heaven-Chosen Sword Master of the Reverse Scales

"Your dantian is ruined, your spiritual root is broken. Get lost."

Those were the last words the sect leader ever said to me.

"What meaning is there in living when you're a good-for-nothing?"

That was the senior brother's finishing blow.

"Kid, your dantian isn't ruined. It's sealed."

Those were the first words spoken by the old ghost who had been dead for three hundred years, inside my dantian.

"You owe me one."

That was what the woman in red said as she handed me a piece of bone.

Later, they all called me the chosen one.

I smiled and said nothing.

My sword doesn't serve the chosen one.

My sword serves only me.
