Catcat the Hero Wants to Quit Again Today

The Story of How I Turned into a Cat and My Cat and I Became Heroes of the City

I rescued a cat, then woke up as one. A socially anxious introvert was forced into action, becoming the anonymous hero of every cat in the city. But there’s one problem: how can I save the world when I can’t even walk properly?

From an invisible wallflower too anxious to hold a meeting, to a city legend the entire internet is searching for;

From an overworked employee crushed by the weight of life, to a true “hero” who risks her life for a cat in the dead of night;

During her days as a cat, she finally learned how to be human.

On the first day after turning into a cat,

Lin Ling tried to ask her boss for leave.

Her paw pads were too soft to work the touchscreen properly. It took three tries to type a single “0.”

At last, she managed to type, “Boss, I’m not feeling well. I need a week off.” Exhausted, she collapsed onto the phone, and her cat face landed right on the text box.

Her boss replied instantly: “??”

She looked closely and saw that her phone had sent: “Bosh, I’m sick and hap-py.”

Lin Ling stared at “sick and hap-py.” She went from furious to nervous, nervous to scared, and scared to giving up. Then she solemnly tapped out a reply with her paw: “Yes, I’m sick, but happy.”

Boss: “…”

Boss: “You should go get checked out. Seriously.”

Lin Ling slowly covered her face with her paws. The good news: she got her leave. The bad news: her boss thought she was losing her mind.
