[Slice of Life] [No System] [Reverse Transmigration] [Ensemble Cast] [Episodic]
Every so often, the Pod Inn welcomes “visitors” from different worlds.
Some come seeking immortality, some to avenge a blood debt, some to save the world, and some just need a place to stay.
As the inn’s owner, Huang Xiaodou not only has to “welcome” guests from other worlds, but sometimes also has to shoulder the responsibility of protecting the universe.
Story One: The Monkey King Seeks Immortality
What?! The Handsome Monkey King sailed across the sea to seek immortality and showed up at my place. What do I do?
Monkey: Immortal, please teach me the secret to eternal life!
Huang Xiaodou: We don’t teach immortal arts, but how about compulsory education?
From then on, Journey to the West lost its protagonist who followed the script, while the education world gained an elementary schooler obsessed with online classes.
Story Two: A Single Spark
Two visitors from different eras, but the same world, knock on the door one after the other.
The younger one wants revenge: Shopkeeper, take me as your disciple!
Huang Xiaodou: I don’t take disciples.
Monkey: I do.
The older one wants to purge the world: This world needs an executioner. Do I look like one to you?
Huang Xiaodou: You look like a revolutionary who’s read Marx and Lenin cover to cover.
The Pod Sect’s policy: We don’t provide immortality or teach immortal cultivation, but we offer health insurance, a housing fund, and other benefits (except to undocumented workers), plus three meals a day and room and board.
