After his grandfather passed away, Zhao Hao inherited a dilapidated zoo saddled with three million yuan in debt.
The iron gates were rusted, vines covered the walls, and the animal enclosures stood empty. A property developer showed up with a court order and gave him a month to get out. The feed merchant waited at the entrance with an IOU, threatening to take the animals to cover the debt if Zhao didn't pay up.
Just as Zhao Hao was preparing to flee, he found a metal plaque inscribed with the words “Shanhai” among his grandfather's belongings.
The next second, a voice exploded in his mind:
“Shanhai Eco-Park System activated successfully. Welcome back, Shanhai Administrator.”
Starter pack received: a Qianyang lamb, a Fuzhu deer, and a Xuangui turtle.
From then on, Qing Shan Zoo began to take a strange turn. Visitors no longer wanted to see a few lame chickens. They wanted creamy Qianyang milk, Fuzhu deer that could make it rain, and Xuangui turtles that could sense earthquakes. The zoo's goat milk became famous throughout the city, and even property developer Wang Biao set his sights on the land.
Zhao Hao had only one thought: keep the zoo afloat.
What he didn't know was that the ancient beasts sealed inside the Classic of Mountains and Seas his grandfather had left behind were beginning to awaken one by one as the zoo expanded.
When the nine-tailed fox opened its eyes beneath the moon, and the White Tiger's roar shook the forest, people finally realized that the animals in this zoo were anything but ordinary.
