After completing her five-year term, the silly Acting Keeper announced she was "going home to get married," then promptly vanished, leaving behind a group of sword warriors whose personalities had all been warped by her ridiculous antics. They stared at one another in bewilderment, forced into retirement.

To keep themselves from slowly rusting away in their comfortable lives, a large number of sword warriors "escaped" the Honmaru and went out into the world. Some traveled through time and space, some went out to study new skills, and a few even repeatedly watched and admired scenes of their former masters' deaths... Only a handful of blades remained at the Honmaru.

Then one day, while visiting an old friend, a blade who had once worked at the headquarters of the government of time stumbled upon the induction of a new Acting Keeper. He saw that every new Keeper had been assigned a Honmaru, except for one abandoned little bundle who stood there dazed and unclaimed.

After confirming with his friend that the child had been brought back by mistake and was about to be sent back, the blade stroked his chin. A bold idea suddenly occurred to him:

Since nobody was claiming this child, he'd gladly take him!
