Shu Yuan transmigrates into a CEO romance novel, becoming the wicked supporting woman who took the place of the true white moonlight.
In the original story, the male lead, Gu Xunyan, mistakes the original woman for his lifesaver. Driven by greed, she goes along with the misunderstanding and steals the other woman's identity.
Keeping this enormous secret, she worries that she'll be exposed one day. All she can think about is making Gu Xunyan fall in love with her so she can become Mrs. Gu.
To force him to give in, the original woman even secretly prepares an aphrodisiac, intending to force herself on him.
Shu Yuan transmigrates just before she can drug him.
Looking at the harmful drug beside her and remembering how the original woman is disgraced and meets a miserable end, she pours it down the drain that very night.
She means to play dumb, keep her head down, save up, and run away, leaving men behind for good. But the man who used to be cold and heartless keeps closing in on her. “You used to be the one throwing yourself at me. Now you're avoiding me like the plague. What, were you just playing with me?”
