I Became a Witch in a Fairy-Tale World

When other people transmigrate into witches: they curse princesses, brew poison, and climb to the peak of darkness.

When Vivian transmigrates into a witch: This moss is so soft. I'll lie here for five more minutes.

All she wants is to lie flat and enjoy her retirement in a little cottage that lights its own fire and cooks its own meals. She plans to grow mushrooms, bake biscuits, and build nests for crows every day. But visitors from the fairy-tale world keep lining up at her door. Little Red Riding Hood brings along a nagging Big Bad Wolf to complain that Grandma talks too loudly. Cinderella's pumpkin carriage falls apart halfway down the road. Snow White flees her stepmother's pursuit and hides in Vivian's mushroom cottage. The Seven Dwarfs can't stand the dragon's snoring and move next door. The long-haired princess in the tower has read too many storybooks and is afraid to leave. An injured porcupine piles the hunter's wood shavings into a little mountain, and even the dragon whose snores once brought down a mine comes over with its own bowl for a dose of medicinal soup.

Vivian has a headache. She only wants to take it easy, but the little animals in the forest need her, the lost princes and princesses need her, and the newly arrived dwarf miners and hunters need her too.

A witch who wants to lie flat, a cottage that breathes, and a magical forest full of warmth.

Kindness itself is a kind of magic, and everyday life is the finest fairy tale.
