Anime Fanfiction: From the Start, I Play a Mysterious Female Side Character!

After getting hit by a dump truck, Fan Mo doesn’t get to meet a golden-haired, blue-eyed goddess from another world. Instead, an iron ball calling itself Drip shoves him into a cross-dimensional media company. Forced to sign a brutally exploitative work contract, he has no choice but to travel through various anime worlds and start earning popularity points to pay off his debt. But faced with this despairing start, Fan Mo quickly grasps the ultimate answer for the world of anime. “System, as a veteran otaku with ten years of experience, I’ve seen right through the true nature of this world.” “Oh? And what is it?” “If you want to win popularity in an anime world, you can be a good person or a bad person, but you absolutely cannot be ugly.” “Because when an ugly character is a hero or a villain, whatever they do, someone will always be there with a magnifying glass, nitpicking.” “But if the character is a beautiful girl with exquisite modeling and looks that defy the heavens, then even if she’s a shameless, wicked villain, the comments will always be full of people whose morals follow their eyes, calling her ‘wife.’” “Host, after all that buildup, what are you trying to say?” “What I mean is...” Fan Mo takes a deep breath and shouts at the sky: “System! I don’t want to be a man anymore!” “Let me become a beautiful girl beyond compare!” In short, this is the story of an overworked corporate drone who, after dying, has to become an even more overworked beautiful girl in various anime worlds to hit his performance targets, only to discover that this path really does work.
