After the Sun erupted abnormally, Earth, on the verge of becoming a Type II civilization, launched an emigration plan. But the exploration ship carrying Lin Yuan was caught in a spatial storm along the Arcturus route and crashed on the mysterious, gigantic living planet of Ailantos.
Here, there is magic, elves, a Tree of Life, otherworldly humans, kingdoms, and ancient ruins. Lin Yuan leads the survivors in rebuilding their base amid the wreckage of their ship, using science to analyze magic and combining the technology they have left with the powers of this world to gradually establish Spark City. As they fend off magical beasts, kingdoms, the church, and threats from the astral realm, they search for Earth's coordinates. In the end, they must choose between “going home” and “preserving civilization,” becoming pioneers who connect two worlds.
Overall, this book is okay to read, and the setting is quite interesting. The game begins with the earth's spaceship crashing into a magical world due to an accident. The protagonist and a group of survivors have to survive in a strange environment, find ways to repair the base, and study the world's magic and the tree of life. What I like better is that it is not the kind of plot where you are invincible from the beginning, but there is pressure to survive, and there are also differences within the team.
Very real contact with civilization, very scientific explanation of energy. The only thing I have doubts about is whether there is something missing on the spacecraft searching for habitable planets, whether it is resources, energy backup or weapons.
I think the overall writing is good, but some words always appear inexplicably, such as magic, Warcraft, and slave hunting teams that appeared for the first time. There was no foreshadowing before, but they suddenly appeared. I think these details need to be optimized.
