In 1991, a gunshot brought an economic fraudster from China back to that turbulent era. He was reborn in the body of a Chinese young man who smuggled himself into Vietnam and ended up in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), which had just launched the "reform and opening up" and was in the midst of a lot of waste and social chaos.
This is a story about ambition, survival and betrayal, as well as a portrait of all living beings in the chaotic era of Vietnam's early reform and opening up.
