The blood moon rose, and the uncanny descended.
Humans who didn't want to become food for the uncanny had no choice but to flee the cities, constantly moving to evade them.
To stay alive, people had to gather supplies along the way, struggling to survive while the uncanny pursued them.
But why search for supplies yourself when it's easier to take them from someone else?
Fang Zhuo ran into a group of survivors trying to rob him while he was gathering supplies.
He killed one and scared another off, but the one who escaped trapped him.
Fortunately, Fang Zhuo had paid attention to the details while searching for supplies and found a way out, successfully escaping his predicament.
But once he got free, he realized the uncanny had set its sights on him.
Luckily, he awakened his [Uncanny Information] golden finger in time and discovered a golden orange that could awaken his supernatural abilities.
After becoming a Sequence Transcendent, he awakened a Sequence ability that gave him a portable space. He also gained the talent to devour the uncanny.
Any uncanny he devoured would grant him one of its abilities.
These ranged from passive abilities that kept him constantly energized, to domain abilities that let him control the uncanny in an area, and even rule-based abilities that worked like making words come true.
Fang Zhuo pressed onward, growing stronger by devouring the uncanny, until he became an uncanny existence in the eyes of the uncanny.
The uncanny: Just how many abilities have you awakened?
Fang Zhuo: A whole lot.
The uncanny: Why do your abilities look so much like ours?
Fang Zhuo: I got them by eating.
The uncanny: What did you say? You got them by eating? I think you're the real uncanny one.
