[Alternate Universe, No Romance] It was an ordinary day when Jiang Xunnan's father, who had died unexpectedly, suddenly appeared in her dreams.
He said he'd landed a pretty good position in the underworld, but some villain had schemed against him and altered the family genealogy. He couldn't let that stand, so he hurriedly came to his only daughter in a dream to ask her to do something about it.
And what was this solution? Jiang Xunnan had to travel back to the time when the genealogy was changed and save her ancestor.
At first, Jiang Xunnan wasn't concerned. It had happened so many years ago. But then her father told her that her ancestor still had considerable influence in the underworld. If the genealogy remained intact, she could enjoy a much better life down there when her time came. But without it, she and her father would have only each other, and there was no telling where she might be reincarnated in her next life.
Hearing this, Jiang Xunnan promptly packed her bags. As a successor of the new era, she couldn't stand this kind of underhanded behavior. If you have what it takes, then face my ancestor fair and square!
So, for the sake of a bright future and her own life, Jiang Xunnan began her journey through the ancient past to find her ancestors.
But wait! How come you're all so prosperous now, yet by my generation, we're dirt poor?
Still, since you're my ancestors, everything you own will be mine sooner or later once you die. It can't hurt to set a little aside for me in advance, right?
