War of Resistance: Starting at a Girls’ School, I Take the Civil Service Exam in Republican-Era China

[Transmigration] [System] [No Romance / Slow Burn] [Building a Girls’ School] [Resistance and Saving the Nation]

Lin Chuxia, a modern-day high school senior and science genius, is struggling with the last question on her comprehensive science exam.

She closes her eyes and opens them again, and she’s transmigrated to 1937 along with her scrap paper!

From the start, she takes over a civilian girls’ school in Beiping that’s on the verge of running out of food.

Japanese planes circle overhead, traitors and local gentry hound the school for debts, and a group of starving, emaciated girls are counting on her.

No need to panic: she’s got the “Passing the Torch” education system for strengthening the nation bound to her!

No money for rice? Use a traditional method to extract high-purity floral water and trade it for money in the foreign concessions.

No textbooks? She can recite Five Years of College Entrance Exams, Three Years of Practice Questions from memory.

To avoid becoming a subject of a conquered nation, she leads the girls in memorizing vocabulary in air-raid shelters,

conducting chemistry experiments amid the ruins, and taking exams all along their flight from place to place.

Years later, this once-unknown girls’ school has produced the first women pilots to study abroad and return, women battlefield doctors, and chief female mechanical engineers at an arms factory!

“What use is any of this when our country is about to fall?”

“Of course it’s useful. You are the future of this country.”
