When I was five, my parents were killed by Zhulong. Then I swallowed the dragon.
I lost my memories for eleven years. My hair turned white overnight, and I became an orphan in the old part of town who couldn't even pass math.
Then, one day after school, a monster started devouring my classmate right in the street.
I gripped a broken umbrella and stabbed it through the eye.
A pillar of light shot into the sky. Half the city saw it.
The Zhenxu Bureau came to see me. They told me three things:
First, Zhulong wasn't dead. It was sleeping inside me.
Second, there was a city inside my body, its gates shut tight, and far more than one dragon was imprisoned within.
Third, the world was collapsing, and people like me, with a city inside them, were its last line of defense.
I looked down at my chest.
The city gates were still there.
The dragon's eyes were slowly opening.
