[Bright and charming vs. dark and obsessive]
Xie Zhengli was a monster. That was the one thing everyone in high society privately agreed on.
At twenty-five, he wielded immense power. He had purged every older relative on the board, and rumor had it that he even smiled and called them Uncle as he signed their dismissal papers.
He had no interest in women, never touched cigarettes or alcohol, and didn’t even eat sweets. The only thing in his office that seemed remotely human was a jar of fruit candies he never ate. He replaced it whenever it expired, going through twelve jars in three years.
No one knew that this monster had a weakness, too. He had loved someone so much that he retraced every path she had walked, loved her until he went mad, until he stopped acting human, until he bowed his head in submission.

Three years ago, nineteen-year-old Fan Wan had a redemption mission assigned by the System. With a sunny smile, she approached the young man who had just swallowed a bottle of pills.
The script was lovely: stay by his side, heal him, turn the villain back to the right path, then claim her reward and leave once the mission was complete.
Reality was far harsher: he had a record of her visits, her call history, and even the purchase record for the toys she’d bought before meeting him.
On the rainy night the System displayed [Mission Failed], Fan Wan threw on her coat and ran without looking back.
The most decisive thing she had ever done was escape from Xie Zhengli.
…
Three years later, at a bar, Fan Wan was playing a drinking game with her best friend when alarm bells suddenly rang in her mind:
[Emergency notice: The target’s emotional state is extremely unstable. He has repeatedly harmed himself and attempted suicide over the past three years, and the storyline is on the brink of collapse! Host, return immediately to comfort the villain and set the plot back on course!]
The dice cup in Fan Wan’s hand clattered onto the table.
This is a novel worth recommending. I am very picky about reading books. This novel has logic. However, I may not like this kind of abuse. The male protagonist in the early stage is a little more abusive. I haven't read it yet. I hope readers with some patience will continue reading. This is a good novel, logical and recommended.
I haven't finished reading it yet but the author writes very well. The article has its own unique way of speaking. The character of the protagonist is good and the logic is rigorous. It is a very valuable book. The author writes a lot and digs holes. I hope the male and female protagonists are 99, he
