The Coffin Shop's Orphan Girl Walks Between Yin and Yang, Hunting Spirits and Vengeance, and Breaking the Mystic Sect

An old coffin shop on an ancient street holds secrets between the worlds of the living and the dead.

Fu Jiang has helped her Taoist grandfather run the shop and practice the Tao since childhood. She draws talismans to suppress evil, identifies spirits, and walks between the worlds, living quietly among ordinary people.

Then, one night, her grandfather dies a mysterious and gruesome death. There are no ghosts, no culprit, and no clues at the scene, leaving behind an unsolved case with no answers.

On the seventh night after his death, an empty coffin knocks from within, incense and candles burn backward, and sinister energy surges through the shop. One bizarre incident after another follows.

Only then does she realize that her grandfather spent half his life in seclusion, guarding coffins. He was never simply a Taoist practitioner: in secret, he had been keeping an underground dark Taoist sect in check for decades.

The Mirror Wraiths, Paper Doll Curses, Sunken Soul River, and Nightmare Calamities that plague the world, along with every seemingly inexplicable folk mystery, were never the work of vengeful ghosts.

Someone was controlling spirits, altering the earth's yin veins, shattering the balance between yin and yang, and using the souls of the living to create forbidden arts that defy heaven!

To uncover the truth behind her grandfather's brutal death and avenge his blood feud, Fu Jiang puts aside her grief and travels across the land in search of the culprit.

Along the way, she meets Shen Yanci, a cool and aloof young man who can identify spirits and see through every evil illusion, and Su Tao, a lively young woman who knows the ins and outs of mechanisms and arcane formations.

The three join forces, venturing into desolate temples, breaking through ghostly walls, infiltrating an ancient town that traps souls, and pursuing a thousand-year-old yin curse.

They trace each strange case back to its source, and connect every clue step by step.

For twenty years, dark currents have lain dormant. Every outbreak of evil has been part of the plan!

When the blood moon draws forth the baleful energy and the yin veins are completely altered, the shadowy figures behind it all finally emerge.

Fu Jiang stands with a talisman in hand, her gaze cool and sharp:

“I have guarded coffins for half my life and seen more than my share of wronged souls between yin and yang. From this day on, I will brave the web of strange schemes, destroy the dark Taoist sect, and restore order. With the true traditions of the Taoist sect, I will protect the peace of this world and avenge my grandfather!”
