In the Name of the People: You Want Me to Wade into This Mess? No Thanks

Zhao Mengsheng whipped his arm with his belt, forcing his younger son, Zhao Nianlai, to take up a post in Handong. They’d spent half a year looking for someone, but nobody dared take the job. It was a hot potato, a complete mess. Zhao Nianlai refused point-blank, so the old man brought up his great-grandfather and grandmother to pressure him. Whoever wants to wade into that mess can do it. I’m not doing it. Not unless you give me a reason that makes sense.
