South Archives: The Return of the Blue Sea Shrimp

A derivative of Southern Archives, mutual salvation, breaking free of fate, mystery and investigation, a male lead with a dual personality, a gentle and resilient heroine, a slow-burn mix of sweetness and angst, rewriting a bad ending for a happy ending, OOC.

The long-awaited tomb-raiding series has finally gotten a new drama, and I couldn't resist writing about it. But poor Xia Zai made my heart ache so much; I cried my eyes out! So I'm going to write a story about redemption. It may be a little sweet and angsty, hehe ૮(˶ᵔᵕᵔ˶)ა. The characters may be OOC and differ from the original, but the story will revolve around Dusk Grass.

In the seventeenth year of the Republic, at the Nanyang Archive of Strange Cases.

Yu Tinglan has barely arrived when she discovers the deadly Dusk Grass poison in Zhang Haixia's system. “You've been poisoned by an illusion-inducing toxin?”

He gives her a cold look. “Men of the Hai generation don't live past thirty-five. Don't waste your effort.”

She picks up a medicinal herb and smiles. “I'll take all of you: your bright daylight and your dark abyss.”

When the whole city falls under an illusion that controls people's minds and Zhang Haixia teeters on the brink of madness, Yu Tinglan ventures alone into the abyss of his inner demons to bring him back.

He grips her wrist tightly. “Does someone like me even deserve to live?”

She answers, “You do. Now that I'm here, you don't have to sink beneath the sea alone.”

The chain of fate binding them for twenty years is finally broken by a gentle southern breeze.
