(Among beastfolk, society is matriarchal. The higher one’s bloodline purity, the stronger and more powerful one is, and the higher one’s status.)
Shen Wu, a snow fox beastfolk with 92% bloodline purity, was supposed to choose a mate and inherit her territory upon graduating from the academy at adulthood. But she hated being tied down and gave it all up.
To prove to her Beast Mother that she could do just fine without a territory, she resolutely left for the human realm and began a five-year grind as an overworked wage slave in Jihe City.
It was a hybrid beastfolk laboratory. Shen Wu was responsible for caring for five beastfolk who had undergone reproductive experiments.
A white rabbit (a younger green-tea boy), a merperson (a gloomy guy), a black panther (a cold-faced cutie), a goshawk (an older, celibate type), and an albino brown bear (with a husband-like vibe).
They were all very attached to her.
Then a huge lottery prize came her way, and Shen Wu quit her job.
But soon after, the laboratory was destroyed and the beastfolk escaped. The white rabbit even came straight to Shen Wu...
And so the story begins.
