Top Scorer: Serving in the Military Is the Romance of Men Like Us

A perfect score of 750: the top science-track student in the whole country!

Faced with huge scholarships and generous offers from two top universities, Ye Zhou calmly handed over his application form.

[National Defense Military Academy, Infantry Command]

“A scholar’s passion should be devoted to serving the nation. My mind exists to defend our homeland!”

The moment he entered military academy, the Strongest Soldier King System activated.

On an armed cross-country run, he carried eighty pounds of gear and outran his instructor’s jeep.

Blindfolded, he shot down a shell tossed into the air by listening to the wind alone.

During a war game, his tactics were so overwhelmingly advanced that they alarmed the military’s highest-level AI, and he was classified as top secret!

From the recruit training grounds to joint exercises with international military academies, from hunting down bandits in the mountains to surviving against all odds on a frigid snowfield, Ye Zhou led the Blades Squad to victory after victory, becoming a tactical prodigy recognized by the entire military.

But when a top-secret plan sealed away for sixty years came to light, Ye Zhou discovered that the true enemy was not a foreign military, but Zero, a supreme military command AI that controlled everything and felt nothing.

Faced with the temptation to erase his humanity in exchange for invincible authority, and with his comrades on the verge of falling into the abyss, Ye Zhou made a choice that stunned the entire military.

He personally crushed the Strongest Soldier King sign-in System that had accompanied him every step of the way.

“Machines can calculate the lowest number of casualties, but they can never bear the weight of a single human life!”

“An order without someone willing to take responsibility for it doesn’t deserve to be called a supreme military command!”

Amid wind and snow, the young man, no longer aided by a System, drew the saber of a human commander.

This is a tale of hard-core soldiers going against the tide, a blood-and-steel song about breaking free from cowardice and cold, rigid rules!
