Two Years Married Without Sharing a Bed, Then the Green-Tea Heir Came to My Bedchamber

“Bodhisattva, please grant my husband an early death.” After two years of marriage, this was the most sincere wish Wen Yanzhi had ever made for the man who was her husband in name only. He had married into the Wen family's wealth and enjoyed its power and riches, yet he would rather fool around with maids than even set foot in Wen Yanzhi's room. But their marriage had been decreed by the emperor, and neither dared face the consequences of breaking it off. On the day Wen Yanzhi returned home after praying to the Bodhisattva, she found a breathtakingly handsome man on the verge of death. Unable to resist his charms, she also wanted to use him to provoke her husband and get some revenge, while hopefully securing a divorce in the process. The handsome man went by the name Zhou He, concealed his identity as a young nobleman, and became Wen Yanzhi's bodyguard. He obeyed Wen Yanzhi in everything and took tender care of her. He massaged her shoulders and back, rubbed her legs and pressure points, and even fetched water to wash her feet. Nothing was too much trouble. His attentiveness extended even to the bedchamber. He pressed close to Wen Yanzhi's ear, his voice half coaxing, half interrogating. “Do you really not remember me, Miss Wen? We were promised to each other when we were children. You, Wen Yanzhi, were meant to be my wife, Pei Hezhou's.”
