Autumn Wind Rises, Autumn Wind Falls

Meng Ranqiu, a bank teller in a small town, runs into Xu Qingfeng, her longtime crush from her youth and a rising bank president. Before she can even begin a secret romance, they both fall into a lake.

At the brink of death, she transmigrates into another, 2.0 version of the story. In this one, Ranqiu gets her wish and marries Xu Qingfeng, only to be dealt a crushing blow on their wedding night: Xu Qingfeng is in his ex’s bed.

Her obsession carries her into another transmigration. Can she find happiness in this 3.0 version?

The painter Qin Xueyou follows her like a shadow through every transmigration. Every time she falls, he catches her safely. Love comes from nowhere, then runs deep.

“You stand on the bridge, watching the view. I stand by the lake, watching you. The one you’re watching isn’t the view. The person in my painting is you. We can’t let go because we’re fixated on the past. Even if the story repeats ten thousand times, perhaps nothing will change.”

Xu Qingfeng: “If you can’t forget the cinnabar mole, just put another one on your arm.”

Ranqiu: “The light of our youth got lost along the way. All we lacked was time.”

Qin Xueyou: “Ranqiu, turn around. Someone has been waiting for you all along!”
