"Suixiju Diet Manual" is a diet therapy classic written by Wang Shixiong (Wang Mengying), a famous physician in the Qing Dynasty, in the 11th year of Xianfeng. It was written during the war and famine years. It is a classic diet therapy monograph that integrates diet health, food medicinal properties, and daily care. The book is divided into eight categories: water and drink, grain food, blended food, vegetable food, fruit food, and vegetable food. Supplemented by front and back order, the book systematically sorts out the nature, taste, efficacy, taboos, and dietary prescriptions of hundreds of daily food ingredients. It ranges from rain and snow well water, tea, wine and tobacco to grains, vegetables, fruits, birds, fish and insects.
