[Younger Man] [Secret Crush] [Sweet Romance] [Face-Slapping] [Putting Scumbags in Their Place] [Nostalgic Era] [Mutual Healing] [Reunion After Years Apart]
At seventeen, Cheng Tong was a sunny, handsome fencer. While visiting his hometown to pay respects to his ancestors, he met Cheng Chao, a poor, awkward country boy.
Cheng Chao was wild, but around Cheng Tong, he was like an affectionate, gentle little puppy who couldn't get enough of him. As they spent time together, Cheng Tong's heart softened, and he decided to anonymously sponsor Cheng Chao's education so he could leave the mountains behind.
After Cheng Tong returned to the city, Cheng Chao never heard from him again. But Cheng Tong's warm, sunny image had already been etched into Cheng Chao's heart, becoming the light he would chase for the rest of his life. Years later, Cheng Chao, now a top student in high school, spotted someone who looked just like Cheng Tong in a bar. But the man was cold and ruthless, and seemed not to recognize him at all.
With red-rimmed eyes, Cheng Chao grabbed his hand and asked, "Who are you?"
The man pressed a sharp dagger to his throat, curled his lip in a cruel smile, and said, "I'm your father! Follow me again and I'll find somewhere to bury you!"
This is an age-gap romance with a younger man. The story begins at an unhurried pace, depicting a happy but brief time the two spent together in a mountain village when they were young. Later, the setting shifts to the city, where they meet and fall in love, and face down the many provocations and dangers around them. There will be angst when Cheng Tong suffers a terrible upheaval, the satisfaction of taking down the villains, and the heartache of Cheng Chao doggedly pursuing the "heartless" Cheng Tong. But most of all, it's a sweet story about the two protecting each other in their own ways.
I'm really happy to read this book, it's my favorite type. It's not suspended at all, it feels so real and warm every day, and it just looks good!
It's really good. It doesn't have so many silly tricks and has a real sense of life.
This book is in its new release period, so there is currently a lack of exposure and the data is deserted. Popularity does not mean the quality of the story. Friends who are interested in reading it may wish to give it a try. Thanks for stopping by.
