Nobody knew what would happen when it reached zero.
Some prayed. Some indulged themselves. Some turned their final night into a pre-apocalypse revel.
Chen Can, an archaeology intern, entered the "Kindling" ruins before the countdown reached zero.
The mural bore only four words:
"We were here."
When the countdown ended, he opened his eyes.

As an intern specializing in excavating "Kindling," he was born with a stone grotto in his mind.
It clearly recorded all the words and pictures on the Kindling.
He gazes up at the stars in dungeons and carves words into stone.
From the Kindling left behind by the previous civilization, he searches for a way to pass on this civilization.
He becomes the top player in the dungeons of Blue Star Online.
Later, civilization inevitably heads toward extinction.
Humanity meets its true "pioneer," and he turns out to be the true Kindling.
