[1980s + Reborn as an Old Lady + Medical Sage Who Heals the Nation + No Romance + Strong Female Lead + Face-Slapping Green Tea Schemer and White Lotus + Love for Country and Family]
Ji Minghua, a miracle doctor whose acupuncture was worth a fortune, is reborn in 1980 and becomes the vicious mother-in-law everyone in the military compound loves to hate.
At this moment, her foolish former self is listening to a green tea schemer's provocations and joining forces with her scummy son to throw her daughter-in-law, Lin Xiuwan, out of the house.
Ji Minghua spins around and slaps the schemer across the face.
“Don't you dare sully the grounds of the Ji family!”
To make up for what she owed in her past life, she leads the despairing Lin Xiuwan out of misery, storms the military compound to get a divorce, and embarks on a path to turn her life around with her family's treasured medical knowledge.
A handful of herbs cures an epidemic, and a single medicinal decoction conquers a stubborn disease.
She trains her daughter-in-law to become the capital's foremost medicinal herb magnate and raises her granddaughter to carry on traditional Chinese medicine.
In an era when the medical field is in desperate need of rebuilding, Ji Minghua devotes herself to the cause. She not only saves ordinary people, but also takes part in developing emergency medicines for frontline injuries, writing a legend of her own.
And that scummy ex-husband who keeps begging to get back together?
Sorry, our strong female lead has her heart set on her country and its people!
