An Jiahe, a surgical specialist at a hospital, is seen by everyone as a perfect husband. His career is thriving, yet he has a tendency toward domestic violence. Mei Xiangnan is his second wife. She has a painful past she cannot bear to speak of, and eventually her husband grows suspicious. The shadow of domestic violence begins to spread between them. By chance, one of his assaults is filmed by Ye Dou, a neighbor in the opposite building. To protect his future, An Jiahe goes to Ye Dou to retrieve the film, but accidentally kills him.
