End-of-the-world stories used to be stuck in the same old loop: fighting and killing, building bases, or obsessing over gaining supernatural powers and developing infrastructure.
But these days, all anyone can do is rely on cheats to stockpile supplies.
After all, who has the energy to clear land and farm anymore? When you’re hungry, order takeout. When you’re tired, give up and do nothing. Even when the apocalypse comes, you’ve got to fill the fridge first.
There’s even a genre that makes everyone else green with envy: the internet and electricity still work after the apocalypse, and the characters get to flaunt their delicious food and comfortable lives just to spite the relatives and neighbors who bullied them in their past lives.
Otherwise, the apocalypse would be pointless to them.
But is this really all we can imagine when we think of the apocalypse?
Well, yes, it is!
(Reborn + stockpiling supplies + disaster survival + dark apocalypse story + slow burn!)
