The story of Su Youling and Shen Yihuai begins and ends in summer.
We met in the sixth grade, and when he transferred to another school in the second year of junior high school, she didn't even have time to say goodbye. When they reunited in high school, across a whole corridor, he smiled at her, and she smiled happily. During the college entrance examination, he was framed and failed to enter the same university as her.
In college, she traveled half the city to find him, and saw him walking side by side with a girl from a distance. She didn't come forward, she just stood there and stared for a long time, then turned and left.
Later she became a writer and her life was gentle and peaceful. Until late one night, a courier box was delivered to my doorstep. She opened it, and inside was a suicide note and several yellowed letters - love letters he wrote to her. Each letter ended with the same sentence: "I will tell you when I graduate."
Too bad he never got the chance again.
He was only twenty-four years old when he passed away from terminal lung cancer.
She went to visit his grave on a rainy day. When the rain stopped, she whispered: "Shen Yihuai, your sunny day has come too late."
Feng didn't answer. But the faint handwriting on those letters was the tears she had shed throughout her entire youth.
