Great Tang: Father, Don't Panic. I Really Don't Plan to Rebel

He transmigrates to the Tang Dynasty and becomes Li Yan, the useless Sixth Prince. From the start, he is framed by the Crown Prince, and Emperor Li Shimin issues an imperial edict exiling him to the frontier beyond the Western Regions.

Li Shimin’s intention is for him to suffer and fend for himself.

But years later, with the Tang Dynasty beset by internal and external threats and foreign armies at the Wei River, military reports from the Western Regions shake the entire imperial court!

“Report! The Sixth Prince used a magical weapon called a cannon to blast the Kingdom of Gaochang off the map!”

“Report! The Sixth Prince’s musketmen formed firing lines and shot the Western Turkic Khagan full of holes!”

“Report! The Sixth Prince’s ‘steam train’ travels a thousand li a day. It brought a heavy machine-gun unit to surround Chang’an!”

Li Shimin is utterly dumbfounded. “I sent you to the Western Regions to guard the frontier and serve your punishment, and you started an industrial revolution out there? Now you want to found a country and usurp the throne?”

Li Yan blows the Vermilion Bird Gate to pieces with a cannon. “Father, abdicate. The Tang Dynasty is obsolete. My Great Yan Empire will rule the world!”
