The Blank Corpse Ledger: The Erased Dead

[Mind-bending mystery + episodic cases + criminal investigation + crime + teamwork]

At Lanhai Saltworks, workers dig a woman’s body out of a pile of waste salt. Four layers of salt crust envelop her, and her face has been completely sanded away.

This is not an isolated case. Hundreds of “blank autopsies” lie scattered across China: evidence trails gone cold, local police forces exhausted, and the dead forgotten by the world, even their names lost. The Ministry of Public Security assembles six top investigators to form the Zero Case Task Force, dedicated to these cold cases. Team leader Lu Chen has no extraordinary talent for deduction. His only gift is making this group of suspicious geniuses believe one thing: the truth lies in the fragments each person sees, and they have to piece them together.

Different cities, multiple erased bodies. The deeper they dig, the more they realize every case leads to the same source, and that source may be sitting among them.
