A farmer extended Ming's life for forty years.
Lin Yuan, a graduate student of the College of Agriculture, traveled through the late Ming Dynasty and started his business from one acre of saline-alkali land with modern agricultural knowledge. He hated Chongzhen for killing Yuan Chonghuan, but he was forced to join in because he saw people dying of hunger everywhere and thought about Yangzhou Ten Days. For forty-five years, he and Chongzhen dealt with suspicion and dependence. They used "grain" as a blade and supplemented it with political means to suppress the civil servant group and reconstruct the power structure. They pulled a dying dynasty out of the quagmire and finally formed the three-legged power of Nanming, Dashun and Qing Dynasty.
