The 1970s: The Sweet Young Stepmother Whose Kids Hide Amazing Skills

The military compound on the island erupts in an uproar. The frosty-faced officer has married a “beautiful fool” who can't lift a finger or carry a thing, making her the stepmother to his rebellious son. The whole island is waiting to laugh as her stepson drives her to tears!

Lin Xiaoman only meant to make do and scrape by, but who knew that life on this deserted island would turn out to be an easy win?

The once unruly eldest boy becomes her number-one “mom-protecting fanatic,” and the two children she later has of her own come with extraordinary skills: the second child waves a hand and birds flock to him, while the third child cries and the sea winds whip up waves!

When the gossipy army wives come looking for trouble, the third child summons a gale that blows one woman's wig right off!

When an evil child snatcher tries to abduct someone, the second child gives the order, and a flock of birds attacks, pecking the villain until their head is covered in bumps!

While everyone else struggles through life following their husbands to the military, Lin Xiaoman sunbathes on the beach every day. Her proud husband dotes on her, and her three extraordinary kids protect and pamper her.

But when the children's powers can no longer be kept secret, everyone realizes that this seemingly delicate, easy-to-bully stepmom has somehow become the most untouchable bigwig on the whole island!
