The play is adapted from Jiu Yehui's novel of the same name, "Zeng Boy". It tells the story of the righteous and persistent "hutong boy" Qin Chuan and the lively and cheerful Beijing girl Xie Qiao who grew up together in a courtyard. In the torrent of time and life points, they each experienced different choices, went round and round, and finally understood the story of each other's feelings.
