After the paranormal resurfaces, the whole world is plunged into chaos. Ghost handlers emerge from nowhere, but their short lifespans and exposure to paranormal interference drive them mad. Just as humanity inches toward extinction, Nan Jie appears. He becomes an enforcement officer at the Anomaly Bureau. A pure materialist, he believes in no paranormal entities. And he especially refuses to believe that any entity can't be brought to heel by the law! Sure enough, every time he recites a statute, some entity suffers. He can even erase rules that require people to kill! The people at the Anomaly Bureau are ecstatic. They send Nan Jie to deal with the paranormal, hoping he'll save the world!
