Lin Ning died in her previous life after surviving for five years in the apocalypse, caught in the shockwave of a battle between SSS-rank ability users. She opens her eyes and returns to seven days before the blood moon appears.
Ability: None at first, then awakens a special-type ability called "Absolute Trade" later on. Once a contract is made, it cannot be broken. Anyone who breaks it suffers the backlash of the laws.
Gu Huaizhi has the SSS-rank ability "Domain: Absolute Stasis." Within his domain, all physical and ability-based movement is forcibly halted. Bases of survivors around the world have joined forces to hunt him down as "the most dangerous man alive."
When they first meet, he is gravely wounded and on the brink of death. Lin Ning "buys" him with three cases of bottled water, thinking she has found herself a bargain laborer. When he wakes up, his presence is overwhelming: "Do you know what dimension the last person who gave me orders is drifting through now?"
His attitude toward Lin Ning shifts from "an amusing little ant" to "my partner" to "(through gritted teeth) Boss Lady, could you please look at me?"
He's at the top of the power scale but a good-for-nothing at daily life. He can't light a fire and can't tell wild vegetables from poisonous weeds. Lin Ning teases him: "SSS-rank? I'd say you're an SSS-rank giant baby."
He has double standards to the extreme. When someone threatens Lin Ning, he asks, "How do you want to die?" When Lin Ning hits him, he says, "Nice hit. You can hit this hand too," and offers her the other one.
