Synopsis

[Sweet Romance + Magical Girl + Slightly Popular + Female-Oriented]

[Snarky Magical Girl × All-Purpose Alien Cat Butler]

Ying Shu was an industrious office drone with a nine-to-five job, just about to become a full-time employee.

Then, on her way home from work, she rescued a cat stuck in a tree. In return, the cat repaid her kindness by smashing into her with the force of a falling mountain and knocking her out of the tree.

Then it shamelessly asked her to become a magical girl and protect the world.

You've got to be kidding me. She valued her life, okay? There was no way she was taking a job that sounded so dangerous.

Unless you give me five million!

Fine.

The cat agreed without a hint of warmth.

What?!

Ying Shu was stunned. I was just saying that! You're really going to give it to me?!

Years later, when a reporter asked her why she became a magical girl,

Ying Shu replied:

Huh?

A magical girl?

No way in hell I'd do that!

There's no salary or social security, and you have to work overtime every day fighting monsters. Your boss is a chuuni cat furry. This job has no end in sight.

That was what Ying Shu said.

Behind her, the white cat sprawled on the sofa watching anime and let out a loud, mocking laugh.

All right, all right, that's enough chatting. Blue Star needs me to save it today, too.

A very typical magical-girl story. No gender-bending or yuri, and it's a female-oriented novel.
