Siheyuan: I Skip the Factory and Ride a Tricycle, Making the Whole Courtyard Drool

Lin Jianjun transmigrates to 1959 and becomes a street loafer in Courtyard No. 95 on Nanluoguxiang.

A hellish start? His job has been snatched by awful relatives, and he has a down-on-her-luck heiress for a wife and a greedy three-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

All the “beasts” in the courtyard are waiting to laugh at him, certain that his family of three won’t make it through the winter and will end up starving on the street!

Facing their jeers, Lin Jianjun stays calm and binds himself to the [Super IoT Space], where mountains of modern goods worth billions are stacked high!

Who says he has to work in a factory? He spends his money on a secondhand three-wheeled cart and becomes a rickshaw driver, roaming the streets!

While everyone in the courtyard fights over a mouthful of cornmeal and grows gaunt with hunger, Lin Jianjun shuts the door and stews braised pork for his beloved wife and adorable child!

While others sneer that pedaling a tricycle is beneath him, he uses his hauling work as cover: a bag of flour for a cartload of Ming and Qing rosewood, half a jin of pork for rare paintings and calligraphy!

A hypocritical manager tries to guilt-trip him? A neighbor with no gratitude tries to steal his chicken? Awful relatives come to bleed him dry?

Lin Jianjun gives a cold laugh. One comes, one gets conned; two come, both get buried!

See how Lin Jianjun makes a fortune on the sly in an era of famine, using nothing but a three-wheeled cart to build a heavenly life with a loving wife and children at home!
