More Children, More Blessings: The Laid-Back Concubine Thrives in the Inner Court

In her previous life, Ruan Zhenzhen was a lowly hereditary servant. A hypocritical young lady sent her to the marquis’s residence to serve as a childbearing tool, and she eventually died in childbirth, losing both her life and her baby. Reborn, Zhenzhen has figured it out: competing for favor is a fast way to die. The real path to victory is to keep your head down and do nothing. She is hopeless at everything except eating and drinking, spending her days in the inner residence as an unambitious, lazy good-for-nothing. Who could have guessed that she would awaken a “more children, more blessings” lucky constitution, giving birth to one baby a year, each child clever and bright? Her enemy, Su Wanrou, grows jealous and plots to steal her children. But the elegant, aloof head madam, who cares only about her career, slaps her across the face: “Zhenzhen is a credit to this household. Who do you think you are, getting anywhere near her?” Later, her enemies exhaust themselves plotting and meet miserable ends, while Zhenzhen doesn’t even lift a finger. She is too busy reclining on a chaise longue, eating grapes peeled by the head madam, listening to her husband’s gentle reassurances, and basking in the company of her well-behaved, adorable children. Zhenzhen: You might not believe it, but I really did win just by doing nothing.
