My Father Uses Me as a Shield, So My Mother Crushes His Head with the Imperial Seal

Emperor Jingtai of the Great Yong personally led his army into battle, only to suffer a catastrophic defeat.

To save his own life, his own father cut down the drawbridge, trapping Sixth Prince Xiao Zhengge and three thousand battered soldiers beyond the pass, alone against one hundred thousand Northern Mang cavalry!

When news reached the capital, the entire court was plunged into grief.

His birth mother, the empress, flew into a rage. She tore off her phoenix crown, snatched up the Imperial Seal, and slammed it down on the emperor’s head. “You’re a coward who clings to life, trading my son’s for your worthless one! If he dies in battle, I’ll bury the Great Yong realm with him!”
