After dying suddenly from working overtime, Zhang Fan opened his eyes and discovered he had become a blade of grass.
Not a metaphor. He was actual grass, rooted in the soil and unable to move, while the bloodthirsty grass plant next to him stretched its roots toward him.
An instinct told him: You can eat it.
From a bloodthirsty grass plant in a secret realm, to parasitizing a sect disciple and infiltrating a cultivation sect, then becoming the young master of the wolf clan in the demon domain, and bribing hundreds of dragons at the Dragon Clan's sacred ground to obtain the Dragon Transformation Art, he relied on a unique ability to devour through his roots. Absorbing the blood essence, spiritual power, and talents of others, he gradually transformed from grass into a wolf, then a dragon, moving ever closer to his goal of becoming human again.
