The Pinnacle of Power: Starting in a Remote Township

Economics master's graduate Lin Yuan passes the civil service exam, only to be assigned to remote Qingshan Town, where conflicts are tangled and complex.

On his first posting at the grassroots level, he faces chaos in poverty alleviation and the workplace trap of being blamed for others' mistakes, while holding fast to his principles. Drawing on his expertise and partnering with the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, he overcomes obstacles such as tight funding, malicious rumors, and rivals throwing up roadblocks. He builds a distinctive wood ear mushroom industry, helping villagers increase their incomes and prosper.

With an impressive record, he steadily rises through the ranks, leaves the township behind, and takes charge of the county's overall development. He roots out old abuses, cultivates distinctive industries, coordinates resources to drive development, and puts the people first. Leading the county's residents toward common prosperity, he advances through his political career by getting things done.
